Changes in CIDD Statutes
Articles 5 (admission criteria and procedures) and article 11 (delegations of votes) of the CIDD statutes were changed by the assembly on June 7, 2010. In detail:
Article 5 Admission – Amended by adding the following statement to the end of the current article: “Admission criteria and procedures will be reviewed every 3 years by the General Assembly.”
Article 11 General Assembly – Amended by replacing current Article with the following: “The General Assembly meets at least once a year. A simple majority of the full members is required to conduct business. Each member is entitled to one vote. Non-attending members may delegate their vote to attending members by written notice to the President prior to the meeting. A simple majority of those present, physically or by proxy, is required to pass any motion. The President chairs the General Assembly meetings. The President may delegate the chair to any member of the board.”
New Member Universities: Metropolia (Helsinki) and ESC Chambéry-Savoie
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, Finland, and ESC Chambéry-Savoie have been affiliated as new member universities. Both business schools have internationalised their study programmes early and have already run double degree programmes successfully. The CIDD membership allows them to further integrate into a network of experienced schools. We welcome the new members and look forward to a fruitful cooperation and the joint development of new programmes.
New Board Elected
On June 7, 2010, the CIDD Assembly elected a new board:
President: Yves Marmiesse (ESCE Paris)
Vice President: Darla Domke-Damonte (Coastal Carolina University)
Secretary General: Ella Kalnina (RISEBA, Riga)
Treasurer: Marja-Ritta Luotonen (Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences
Additional Members: Erna Helsen (University of Applied Sciences Arnhem and Nijmegen [HAN]), Robert Laas (The Hague University of Applied Sciences), Anton Frantzke (Augsburg University of Applied Sciences)
The new board thanked Ulrich Schüle for his eight years of service as CIDD President. The board will continuously work for the further development of joint and double degree programmes, student and teacher (faculty) exchange. We cordially invite interested university business schools to join the consortium, In particular, we encourage universities from outside Europe to join us.
