Registration Work Shop Paris

Registration Work Shop Myrtle Beach

The full day work shop consists of a 90-minute-presentation of the major issues related to joint programmes and

double degrees. Based on the experience of the CIDD universities, Ulrich Schüle, president of CiDD, gives an overview of possible models, talks about legal questions and issues of quality assurance, and accreditation. An interactive case studies in which the participants are split into small work groups of three to four persons, serves as example for different modes of taking hurdles developing a joint curriculum, addressing issues of transferring credits and grades. Our check-list for double degree negotiations helps you to prepare yourself perfectly for developing your own double degrees.
Whereas the target group of the January work shop in Paris are European universities and their partners, the June work shop in Myrtle Beach is specially designed for the needs of US universities and focuses on all aspects of “dual degree” programmes in the United States. Darla Domke Damonte, associate dean of the Wall College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University, and Ulrich Schüle, dean of the business school at Fachhochschule Mainz - University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and CIDD president since 2002, will share their experience in developing Trans-Atlantic Degree Programmes.

The work shop has been regularly held since 2007 (for example as a pre-conference day the EAIE conference in Trondheim, 2007). Participant feedback:
“Good, positive and motivated presenter”
“The case study helps to understand the different steps in negotiating joint degree programmes”
“I liked the trainer’s presentation”
“The contents discussed are extremely relevant for my job.”
“I liked the exchange of experiences between participants”
“Far more than I expected”
