International Business programmes include various aspects of management across cultures. “Cross-cultural
management” has become one of the core topics of international business education.
But: Do we apply ourselves what we teach our students?
• How are business schools prepared for dealing with culturally diverse student groups?
• Are professors, teachers, staff prepared pay enough attention to the challenges of teaching and counselling these students?
• Are we aware of the challenges when communication between teachers, counsellors, and students is based on the use of English as a foreign language?
• Do we consider enough that deepening student exchange and developing joint and double degree programmes increases the need for integrating multicultural aspects into our activities?
This training workshop is designed to increase the awareness of the challenges we face in the classroom environment, in international offices, and the business school administration. It aims at
• analysing the many challenges
• create ways to turn the challenges into opportunities for better learning outcomes
• increase the cross-cultural awareness and competence of our institutions.
This workshop is designed for
Programme Directors
Professors and teachers
Student Counsellors
The Trainers:
